Here comes the snow!

We're supposed to get a foot of snow over the next 24 hours. I hate cold weather.

Short video clip of the storm

My apologies for the bad quality (BlackBerry Curve). This was right before it started pouring down rain and the 90MPH winds arrived.

More pictures of the storm from last night

This storm ended up getting pretty crazy. Tornado sirens going off, large hail, severe winds, awesome colors and clouds -- it was amazing to watch.

Ridiculously Cold July Weather

Dubuque’s unseasonably cool snap continued Tuesday — the daytime high of 62 marked the fifth record cold-high temperature this month and fell 2 degrees shy of the coldest July day in the city’s history.

Previously, the coldest July 21 was 1912, when the temperature reached 68, and the coldest day for the entire month was 60, set on July 30, 1992.

At an average of 65.1 degrees, this July is shaping up as the coldest on record. Dubuque’s coldest July occurred in 1992, when Dubuque averaged 66.7 degrees.
